SnowWorld, Europe’s leading provider of indoor ski slopes, announced today the acquisition of a second indoor ski facility in Germany, bringing its total number of indoor ski slopes to nine.

The Snow Dome Bispingen, located south of Hamburg, joins the Alpenpark Neuss near Düsseldorf as the group’s second location in Germany. The facility includes a 300-meter slope, a chairlift, a hotel with an adjacent log cabin park, and a wide range of restaurants and conference rooms.

This acquisition brings the total number of indoor ski slopes under the SnowWorld brand to nine, spanning four countries. SnowWorld operates five locations in the Netherlands and offers snow experiences in Belgium, France, and now, two resorts in Germany, with the major existing resort near Düsseldorf.

“Opening a second location in Germany strengthens our position as the European market leader in indoor winter sports,” said Wim Hubrechtsen, CEO of SnowWorld. “We look forward to further developing the facility to appeal to a wide range of audiences—from passionate winter sports enthusiasts and school programs to professional ski teams. This acquisition represents another step toward our goal of making winter sports accessible to as many people as possible.”

One of the current operators of the Snow Dome Bispingen, a ski lift company from the Austrian ski area of Sölden, will retain a stake in the newly branded SnowWorld Bispingen. Both parties will continue collaborating on future plans for the Bispingen facility. Additionally, the promotion partnership with Sölden will extend to the Dutch market. Together, Sölden and SnowWorld will organize events and special promotions to offer guests in both the Netherlands and Bispingen the ultimate winter sports experience.

This winter, loyal guests at the Bispingen ski slope can look forward to high-quality snow, top-tier ski lessons, and seasonal dishes in the restaurant. “Thanks to the scale advantages of our group, we are not only able to attract more visitors but also work toward stronger synergies and an overall improved experience for our guests,” Hubrechtsen added.
